(As if I ever left the hobby) after procrastinating I finally jumped on the website bandwagon. http://homestead.juno.com/scanlist/ Since this has always been a work in progress updates will be more frequent. And participation from people has always been a major part of this effort. Since the last edition numerous changes have occurred and, for the most part,they have not been real popular. Scannist's, media and the public safety community are having to deal with Digital Trunked Radio. COM-WHO? On 1/6/2000 6 days after Ericsson assumed complete control of former G.E. mobile radio communications it was announced that the Private Mobile Radio division is being taken over by Com-Net communications and during the transition phase will be known as Com-Net Ericsson. Hence the change in the listings to COM-NET EDACS. I'm not sure what to make of this sudden unloading of the PMR division by Ericsson. Time will tell. COM-NET EDACS TALK-GROUP LISTINGS Agencies using Com-Net EDACS systems now have their talk-groups listed as Decimal as of this edition since decimal talk-groups are common to *BOTH* Uniden and the tandy trunking scanners. Refer to your radio's manual on how to enter talk-groups for your particular model. DIGITAL 800 Agencies listed with "DIGITAL 800" are using Motorola ASTRO digital encoding and are not monitorable with any current scanners available to the public. There are no computer software solutions available at this time either.
